The Botsford Farmhouse
A Historic Vermont Vacation Rental
About the Region
Southeastern Vermont provides an exquisite vacation experience year round – from the exhilaration of skiing, snowmobiling and sledding in the winter to biking, swimming and exploring in the summer. From the glorious show of foliage in the Fall to the awakening of the trees and flowers in the spring (and let’s not forget the flow of maple syrup!), Vermont is full of beauty and magic at any time of the year.
Poultney, VT is a vibrant community with shops to explore, restaurants to dine at and museums to visit. In the summer, cool off at the public beach of Lake Saint Catherine State Park and then stop by Otto’s Cone Point General Store for a maple creemee or an original sundae. Drive a little further and you will find one of New England’s best swimming holes at the Dorset Quarry. In the winter, Killington, Bromley, Pico and Okemo are just about an hour away.
For more shopping and dining, the Village of Manchester is a beautiful 45 minute drive down the Stone Valley Byway.
