The Luzerne Music Center is a true summer camp experience which presents tremendous opportunities for the very serious young musician, and yet holds a place forthe young person who still wants to discover the joy of music. 

The founders of LMC feel that the joy of music comes not from competing with another person, but from experiencing the music itself and becoming aware of the commitment it takes to learn and perform a given work. Our joy is seeing each young musician develop his or her abilities at their own level and not necessarily in competition with their peers. 

Our instructional staff is among the finest in the nation and includes members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and other music institutions of world renown. Instructors are chosen for their performance ability, dedication to teaching, and understanding of young musicians.
